New Refrigerants
The Montreal Protocal of 1989 determined that manufacturers of HVAC equipment had to develop new, "cleaner" refrigerants for use in refrigeration. This meant the staging out of current refrigerants that have a high Ozone Depletion Potential. This is why R-12 is no longer made or sold. New R-22 systems will be phased out in 2010. By 2020 R22 productions will cease. Jolly Air is poised to provide our clients with new refrigerant solutions, such as R-410a. New, energy efficient systems are currently being manufactured with R-410a and Jolly Air can install one for you today.
